Gutian County

  Gutian lies in the Southwest of Ningde and has a total land area of 2377km2.It has jurisdiction over 8 towns, 7 villages and a population of 430,000 .The county was set up in Tang Dynasty in 741AD.Since Zhuxi, one of the famous scholars in China, lived there, it is also called "the town of the former worthy". Gutian has an advanced transportation including railway, highway and seaway. Waifu Railway is 33.2km and the Min River in this area is 35 km .The abundant hydroelectric power contributes to the building of the first national underground hydropower station, ie.
