Zherong County
Zherong, lies in the northeast of Ningde, has a total land area of 544 km2. It has jurisdiction over 2 towns and 7 villages and a population of 100,000. The traffic in this area is very convenient, with No.104 State Road going through and provincial Xiatai highway from west to east. There are mineral resources such as kaolinite, potter's clay, alum, granite and diabase, among which the potter's clay amounts to 2,600,000 tons with excellent quality. There are also specialties such as Taizi ginseng, tea, early mushrooms, ginseng fruits, bamboo shoots, pepper, peas, among which the productivity of Taizi ginseng amounts to more than half of the whole national output. Traveler suitcases, scissors, Taizi tonics, flags and goods made of bamboo and woods are main industrial products in this area. There are provincially famous scenic spots such as the East Lion Mountain, Tomb of Youpu's and Walls built in Min Dynasty.
