Jiaomei Industrial Comprehensive Development Zone

Brief Introduction

Approved by Fujian Provincial Government, Jiaomei Industrial Comprehensive Development Zone in Longhai city under Zhangzhou jurisdiction,is the first testing area for developing the stretch of land by joint venture. The total planned development area is 10 square kilometers, of which 3 square kilometers have been developed. Since the Zone was established on July 6,1991, investors who come from Europe,the United States, Japan , Southeast Asia,Hong Kong and Taiwan have set up 80 projects in 15 industries, covering metal ware,food-processing ,electronics,clothes-making, light industry products, sports goods ,packing ,machinery, real estate and so on. The total investment value reaches US$ 650 million, actual utilized value amounts to US$ 320 million.Jiaomei
Development Zone has become the major driving force for the Economic Development Strategy of Zhangzhou Jiulongjiang River Delta, and set up a good example in developing stretch of land in Fujian Province.From 1994 to 1997 ,it was awarded as "Civilized Enterprise" by Fujian Provincial People's Government for four times.
